Little Mekong’s Night Market is looking for creative minds

Are you a performing artist, arts & crafts vendor, or like to lead activities that would fit the Little Mekong Night Market theme? The Little Mekong district in Saint Paul, Minnesota is opening its streets for the night market and are seeking cultural and contemporary local artists to perform during the event. Already in its second year, Little Mekong wants to expand to work with more diverse artists in the community. Last year, they brought nearly 10,000 people to the first Night Market season with food, drinks, arts and entertainment from diverse backgrounds of Southeast Asia. The Little Mekong Night Market is free and open to the public, happening on August 7th from 6PM-Midnight and August 8th from 4PM-Midnight along University & Western Ave in Saint Paul, Minnesota.  For more information, go here or email arts@littlemekong.com. First ever Night Market opens in Minnesota’s Little Mekong district

Have you heard about the buzz? With the Green Line light rail up and running, Little Mekong is serving up its first ever Night Market in St. Paul and it opens this weekend. If you’re missing the stroll for the real deal, check out the local fare for a taste. Details below: Southeast Asian cities are known for their sprawling, lavish night markets. Unlike day markets, night markets are a time to relax and wander the stalls looking for good food, fresh produce and unique merchandise. Little Mekong’s night market will feature local restaurants and food trucks, fresh produce and plants, artisan crafts and other merchandise along with arts and entertainment for the whole family. WHEN: The Night Market will take place on the following Saturdays and will run between 5-10:00 PM: June 14, July 5, July 26, August 16, and September 6, 2014. WHERE: The Night Market will be located in 400 block University Ave between Mai Village Restaurant and Little Szechuan Restaurant, near to the intersection of University Ave and Western Ave. The …
