Lao Haiku of the Week: Asian Heritage Month

This year is the Year of the Nak, or the Laughing Nak, considering it’s 2555. This May is Asian Pacific Heritage Month, and the first time in three years a Lao Minnesotan wasn’t recognized at the Asian Heritage Dinner with a Leadership Award by the Council on Asian Pacific Minnesotans. However, there were Lao Americans nominated and we have many exciting opportunities coming up ahead this year. But without further ado, here’s our Haiku of the Week.

Now among knowing,
Learning about our secrets
Truths and lives keep strong
